Horacio and Sky shoe a horse

Estancia Ranquilco operates as a working ranch with one thousand head of cattle, forty horses, a small herd of merino/ corriedale sheep and goats.

Hailing from Colorado and California, Ashley and his daughter Sky Carithers now live in Argentina, splitting their time between Ranquilco and the winter grazing grounds, Estancia Colipilli. In addition to learning the cattle business from the ground up, Sky cares for our herd of beautiful criollo horses. In January 2010, ride and work with Sky and the gauchos of Argentina at our annual branding. Cut and run cattle on the range, then work the corrals helping to lasso and brand.
