Estancia Ranquilco is a working guest ranch in Patagonia, Argentina. We run cattle and raise horses on 100,000 acres near the border with Chile. The family and staff at Estancia Ranquilco delight in welcoming guests to share their home and participate in daily ranch life. Although many guests come here to exclusively horse ride or fish, others want to enjoy all aspects of rural living, including experiencing the unique gaucho culture that is still alive on our remote ranch.
Visit Estancia Ranquilco to…
…Connect with the traditional gaucho lifestyle – ride the range with one of our gauchos as he goes about his work, join a matè circle, and dance to traditional folk music at an asado.
… Open up to the timeless rhythms of nature – enjoy breathtaking views, swim in the river, and hike miles of trails in search of condors.
… Have an authentic hands-on ranch experience – tack up with Sky to check on grazing lands, shoe horses with Horacio, or ride to Buta Mallin with Ashley for a steer sale.
… Enjoy a taste of country life, milk our cow Petunia and bake bread with our chef Georgie.
… Step back in time at Ranquilco and experience the real Patagonia – it’s landscape, people, and traditions.
Come to Estancia Ranquilco and enjoy comfortable private cottages, world class wine, home style Patagonian cooking and all the activities available on the ranch. Ranquilco also has a swimming pool, river-side log sauna and a volleyball court.
A traditional estancia vacation includes transfers from the trailhead by horse, accommodation in one of our three guest cottages, The Castle Room, Dossies or The Apartment, all food and wine, and ranch activities including some horse riding and fly fishing (if you want a riding or fishing focused trip, see Horse Riding or Fly Fishing).
Price per person, per night, is $175 (children under 12, half price). To discuss or reserve your estancia vacation or romantic getaway, e-mail Ashley Carrithers.
